Asked to pay by a method with no recourse, by a supplier I had used twice before without being asked, which is what made me stop.

The bit I cannot resolve on my own is how people are thinking about the trade-off between reversibility and privacy, because you cannot have both.

Not looking for reassurance. Looking for the part I have got wrong.

Short answer first, then the reasoning. Order of operations matters more than any single choice here: establish a baseline, change one thing, wait long enough for it to express itself, then measure again under the same conditions.

True, with the qualification that this is a self-selected group. The people for whom it did not work post less, and that shapes everything we think we know.

This is my experience too, for whatever a second data point is worth. The detail I would add is minor and it is already implied above.

Clinical perspective, offered as context rather than as advice. The mechanism and the magnitude are separate questions. Agreeing that something happens says nothing about whether it happens enough to act on.
