I have used three payment routes and the only thing that changed with each was how much leverage I had when something went wrong.

What would genuinely help is knowing how people are thinking about the trade-off between reversibility and privacy, because you cannot have both.

Happy to be told the question itself is wrong.

Short answer first, then the reasoning. Start from the measurement rather than the conclusion. Almost every disagreement here turns out to be two people measuring different things and comparing the numbers anyway.

No disagreement, though the timescale matters more than the mechanism here. Most of what looks like a difference in kind turns out to be a difference in how long somebody waited.

Same experience, arrived at from the opposite direction. I had assumed I was the exception until I read this.

From the other side of the consultation, briefly. There is a difference between no evidence and evidence of no effect, and this subject is one where the two get swapped freely in both directions.
