Plateau breaking story with a stall: I stalled at 208 lbs for 6 weeks.

Filing a mild objection. Mild because I might be wrong; an objection because nobody has addressed the case that does not fit. The "it is your intake" reflex here gets tiring. Some people genuinely stop responding at a dose that worked, and telling them to track harder when they have already tracked is how people stop posting.

One concrete data point for the thread. The boring version of this is the one that works, and the boring version is: measure a baseline, change one variable, wait, measure again under the same conditions. Nobody wants that answer and it is still the answer.

Adding the part of the answer the thread has not reached. The mechanism and the magnitude are separate questions. Agreeing that something happens says nothing about whether it happens enough to act on.

A narrower follow-up, since the general answer is now clear:

How would you tell the difference between that and the alternative explanation?

Closing the loop on my own question.

Rolling average over five weeks showed I had lost 1.6kg during my "plateau". The scale was noise and the tape had moved. I changed nothing and it resumed.
