I have used three payment routes and the only thing that changed with each was how much leverage I had when something went wrong.

What I am after is how people are thinking about the trade-off between reversibility and privacy, because you cannot have both.

Practical detail welcome, however dull — the duller the better.

This one has a reasonably settled answer, so here it is. Start from the measurement rather than the conclusion. Almost every disagreement here turns out to be two people measuring different things and comparing the numbers anyway.

Correct me if the detail matters more than I have assumed.

No disagreement, though it depends on where somebody is starting from, and this thread has been assuming a starting point nobody stated.

Mine went the same way, slower. I had assumed I was the exception until I read this.

From the other side of the consultation, briefly. There is a difference between no evidence and evidence of no effect, and this subject is one where the two get swapped freely in both directions.

Ask again with the specifics and you will get a better answer than this one.
