Clinical perspective, offered as context rather than as advice. The distinction that resolves most of these threads is between what is true on average and what is true for one person. Both are real; they answer different questions and get quoted as if they were the same one.

Correct me if the detail matters more than I have assumed.

Second this. Nothing to add that would improve it.

Adding the part of the answer the thread has not reached. Freezing is the one to avoid, and freeze-thaw more so. Ice-crystal formation and the concentration changes at the phase boundary drive aggregation, and aggregated peptide does not recover on thawing. A vial that has been frozen and thawed is not rescued by returning it to the fridge.

Adding the numbers, since they settle part of this. Keep the original post as written when you update it, and add the correction underneath. An edited-away mistake is invisible to the next person who makes it.

OP back with an update, since a thread like this is useless without one.

Update. I did go to 2.4mg in the end, and the honest report is that it bought me less than the step before it and cost me two bad weeks. Worth knowing rather than worth repeating.
