Comprehensive lipid panel update relevant to the lipid panel: Marker Baseline 6 Months 12 Months Reference Total Cholesterol 263 218 188 <200 LDL…

Careful with treating an unchanged LDL-C as a failure. If ApoB and triglycerides both fell, the particle picture improved regardless of what the calculated LDL says.

Triglycerides dropped by half, HDL barely moved, and my calculated LDL is almost exactly where it started, which is not the outcome I had been…

Before/after bloodwork compilation for the lipid panel — everything in one place for those who want comprehensive data:

CategoryMarkerBeforeAfter 15moChange
MetabolicA1C8.4%5.7%⬇️ 1.6%
MetabolicFasting Glucose12792⬇️ 37
LipidsLDL175104⬇️ 47
LipidsTriglycerides247117⬇️ 97
InflammationhsCRP8.51.0⬇️ 4.0

Every single metabolic marker improved. This is why I'm a believer in this therapy.

Advanced lipoprotein testing on the lipid panel — going beyond standard lipid panel:

MarkerBaselineMonth 8Clinical Meaning
LDL-P1590990Particle count (more precise than LDL-C)
Small dense LDL60%34%Atherogenic pattern
Remnant cholesterol3414Triglyceride-rich lipoproteins
oxLDL7538Oxidative stress marker

The shift from small dense to large buoyant LDL is particularly important — it represents a fundamental change in the atherogenic profile.

One thing that is still open after hyun_seoul’s answer:

Did your prescriber agree with that reading, and if not what was their objection?

Closing the loop on my own question.

Update, and it is the boring outcome: nothing was wrong. The measurement I was reading had moved less than its own week-to-week variation, which somebody said upthread and I did not believe.
