Advanced lipoprotein testing on the lipid panel — going beyond standard lipid panel: Marker Baseline Month 8 Clinical Meaning LDL-P 1650 950 Particle…

Careful with treating an unchanged LDL-C as a failure. If ApoB and triglycerides both fell, the particle picture improved regardless of what the calculated LDL says.

Trying to work out whether my panel improved or merely rearranged itself, because two of the numbers went the wrong way.

Comprehensive lipid panel update relevant to the lipid panel:

MarkerBaseline6 Months12 MonthsReference
Total Cholesterol245200190<200
LDL150125110<100
HDL435657>40
Triglycerides265180100<150
LDL-P14851235885<1000

The triglyceride drop is the most impressive. My cardiologist reduced my statin dose based on these results.

Before/after bloodwork compilation for the lipid panel — everything in one place for those who want comprehensive data:

CategoryMarkerBeforeAfter 9moChange
MetabolicA1C8.4%5.5%⬇️ 1.6%
MetabolicFasting Glucose12286⬇️ 27
LipidsLDL16594⬇️ 57
LipidsTriglycerides237112⬇️ 107
InflammationhsCRP6.51.0⬇️ 6.0

Every single metabolic marker improved. This is why I'm a believer in this therapy.

Following on from DerekSJ_a1c — and this may be the naive question:

Did your prescriber agree with that reading, and if not what was their objection?

Reporting back.

For the archive: it took about six weeks rather than the two I expected, and the difference between those two numbers was the whole of my problem.
