Agreed, and the enforcement dates were staggered by category — 503A first, 503B a few weeks later — because outsourcing facilities have manufactured inventory and clinic contracts to unwind while a 503A makes to order.

I would rather be corrected than agreed with, if it comes to it.

The arithmetic is right and one caveat matters: a U-40 syringe changes the markings, not the volumes.

That reframing is the part I needed. Taking it to my next appointment.

I read this differently from Dr.RenalNash, on substance rather than tone. A research-chemical supplier selling lyophilised powder labelled research use only is not compounding and is not claiming to. It is a different legal universe with no pharmacy oversight, no patient relationship and no content guarantee, and conflating the two in these threads helps nobody.

Correct me if the detail matters more than I have assumed.

Peptide calculator app recommendation for dosing arithmetic: I use ReconCalc to calculate reconstitution volumes and injection doses. Eliminates math errors completely.

Input: vial size (mg), desired concentration (mg/mL), prescribed dose (mg)
Output: BAC water volume (mL), injection volume (units on insulin syringe)

A math error with injectable medication can mean underdosing or overdosing. Use a calculator every time until the math becomes second nature.

Moderator note: good thread. Keeping it here rather than moving it, because the question is general enough to be useful. Thread quality here is what the rules are for. Keep it up.
