The variables that decide how a cross-border order goes are declaration wording, the destination country's import rules for prescription medicines,…

Saving this. It is the first explanation that did not require me to already understand it. Printing the relevant bit and taking it with me.

From the other side of the consultation, briefly. Most of what circulates confidently in this community traces back to one summary of one study, and the qualifier was dropped somewhere in the third retelling.

Ask again with the specifics and you will get a better answer than this one.

I do not accept the framing. The question has been narrowed to the version that has a tidy answer, and the part that was dropped is the part the OP actually asked about.

Adding the numbers, since they settle part of this. One habit that pays for itself: post the method alongside the number. A figure without its method cannot be checked, and an unchecked figure is how this community accumulates folklore.

Worth separating that from cross-border ordering, which this thread keeps folding into the same question. They behave differently and the advice does not transfer.

Ask again with the specifics and you will get a better answer than this one.

Moderator note: the sourcing question belongs in the vendor section and has been split out. Report rather than reply if it drifts again.
