Has anyone dealt with sulfur burps on tirzepatide?

Pro tip: keep altoids or very strong mints with you at all times. They don't fix the burps but they mask the smell somewhat. And if anyone comments, just say you're dealing with a stomach thing — most people are understanding.

Also — drinking a glass of warm water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before meals helped me. Anecdotal, I know, but the theory is it helps with stomach acid and reduces the bacterial fermentation. Worth trying.

One more thing — timing matters. I found the sulfur burps were always worst days 2-4 after my injection. On those days I eat the blandest, lowest-sulfur diet possible (rice, chicken breast, bananas, plain toast) and front-load the Pepto. By day 5 I can eat more normally. Working with the cycle of the drug instead of against it made a huge difference.

UPDATE: got Pepto-Bismol and it's a MIRACLE. Burps dropped by like 80% on day one. Also cut out eggs and broccoli (two of my staples, RIP) and that helped too. I can exist in public again. Thank you all. 🙏
