Mostly the deficit, and the useful part of that answer is that it is testable.

Agreed, though "tolerable" needs defining. A dose you tolerate by eating almost nothing is not tolerated, it is being paid for somewhere else — usually in lean mass, sometimes in adherence three months later.

Worth separating that from fatigue, which this thread keeps folding into the same question. They behave differently and the advice does not transfer.

Albumin binding above 99% is the whole reason weekly dosing works, and it is also why the trough matters more than the peak.

This is exactly what I could not find anywhere else. I will report back once I have actually tried it.

I will push back on the "any working dose is fine" framing. The maintenance evidence sits overwhelmingly at the top studied dose, and the extension data shows regain tracking dose reduction rather than tracking stopping. Holding low is reasonable; pretending it is evidentially equivalent is not.

I would rather be corrected than agreed with, if it comes to it.

One concrete data point for the thread. Worth checking before concluding it is the drug: ferritin, B12, TSH, and total intake for three honest days. Two of those four explain most cases.

Worth separating that from fatigue, which this thread keeps folding into the same question. They behave differently and the advice does not transfer.

Moderator note: good thread. Keeping it here rather than moving it, because the question is general enough to be useful. Thread quality here is what the rules are for. Keep it up.
