Putting this up for argument rather than for agreement. I have read it twice and I am still not certain what it supports.

The variables that decide how a cross-border order goes are declaration wording, the destination country's import rules for prescription medicines, and whether the shipment looks commercial. Personal-import allowances exist in some jurisdictions and not in others, and where they exist they are usually conditional on a prescription and a quantity limit. The failure mode is normally a seizure notice rather than anything worse, and a reshipment policy is the thing worth confirming before ordering rather than after.

Where I think it is weakest: the comparator does most of the work in how this gets reported, and it is not the comparator most people think they are citing.

The question I want answered is which of the variables in a cross-border order actually determine the outcome, and which are superstition. Happy to be told the question itself is wrong.

Note on sourcing:
Figures above are from the primary publication rather than the press summary. If a number here disagrees with one you have, post yours and we will work out which of us is reading a secondary source.

My experience ordering cross-border ordering internationally: I've ordered from an Indian manufacturer. Customs can be hit or miss.

Shipping time: 14-28 days
Customs clearance: required import documentation
Quality: Janoshik tested at 98.5% purity

International ordering adds complexity but can save 60-80% compared to US prices. Research your country's import laws first.

Filing a mild objection. Mild because I might be wrong; an objection because nobody has addressed the case that does not fit. Import rules are jurisdiction-specific and this board keeps giving US-shaped answers to non-US questions. What is a personal-import allowance in one country is a controlled-import offence in another.

International shipping tracking for cross-border ordering orders: my experience with customs in the US when ordering from overseas:

Seized and destroyed — had to get a reshipped package.

Tips: always include a copy of your prescription, declare medication properly on customs forms, keep quantities reasonable (personal use = 3 month supply max), and use a vendor who has experience shipping to your country.

Can confirm. Same sequence, different timescale.
