Tracking labs for the lipid panel — here's the panel I get every 3 months and why: CMP: glucose, electrolytes, kidney function, liver enzymes Lipid…

Careful with treating an unchanged LDL-C as a failure. If ApoB and triglycerides both fell, the particle picture improved regardless of what the calculated LDL says.

Triglycerides dropped by half, HDL barely moved, and my calculated LDL is almost exactly where it started, which is not the outcome I had been…

Comprehensive lipid panel update relevant to the lipid panel:

MarkerBaseline6 Months12 MonthsReference
Total Cholesterol238223183<200
LDL173118103<100
HDL464965>40
Triglycerides218173123<150
LDL-P14781228878<1000

The triglyceride drop is the most impressive. My cardiologist reduced my statin dose based on these results.

Advanced lipoprotein testing on the lipid panel — going beyond standard lipid panel:

MarkerBaselineMonth 8Clinical Meaning
LDL-P1656956Particle count (more precise than LDL-C)
Small dense LDL66%28%Atherogenic pattern
Remnant cholesterol4015Triglyceride-rich lipoproteins
oxLDL8144Oxidative stress marker

The shift from small dense to large buoyant LDL is particularly important — it represents a fundamental change in the atherogenic profile.

Following on from FitDadDave — and this may be the naive question:

How long did you give it before you decided it was working?

Reporting back.

Reporting back with a partial result, because a partial result is still better than silence. Two of the three things suggested helped; I cannot separate them and I am not going to pretend otherwise.
