I keep seeing people confused about reconstitution math for compounded tirz lyophilized powder so I'm making a guide. Mods feel free to pin this. The formula is simple: > Volume of BAC water (mL) = Amount of peptide (mg) ÷ Desired concentration (mg/mL) Example for a 30mg vial at 10mg/mL: 30mg ÷ 10mg/mL = 3mL of BAC water Example for a 60mg vial at 10mg/mL: 60mg ÷ 10mg/mL = 6mL of BAC water Common concentrations and their injection volumes: | Dose | At 10mg/mL | At 20mg/mL | At 50mg/mL | |------|-----------|-----------|-----------| | 2.5mg | 0.25mL (25 units) | 0.125mL (12.5 units) | 0.05mL (5 units) | | 5mg | 0.50mL (50 units) | 0.25mL (25 units) | 0.10mL (10 units) | | 7.5mg | 0.75mL (75 units) | 0.375mL (37.5 units) | 0.15mL (15 units) | | 10mg | 1.00mL (100 units) | 0.50mL (50 units) | 0.20mL (20 units) | | 12.5mg | 1.25mL (125 units) | 0.625mL (62.5 units) | 0.25mL (25 units) | | 15mg | 1.50mL (150 units) | 0.75mL (75 units) | 0.30mL (30 units) | "Units" = markings on a standard U-100 insulin syringe where 100 units = 1mL. Pro tips: - Use a 1mL syringe for accuracy at small volumes - Inject BAC water slowly down the side of the vial — DO NOT shake - Swirl gently until fully dissolved (should be clear, no particles) - Store reconstituted solution in fridge, use within 28 days

Thank you for this. I'm embarrassed to admit I've been doing my reconstitution wrong for 2 months 😅 I had a 60mg vial and added only 3mL thinking that would give me 10mg/mL... which means I was actually injecting at 20mg/mL and getting double my intended dose this whole time. That... actually explains why the side effects were so intense. JFC.

oh no 😬 yeah that would do it. You were getting double doses. Glad you caught it though. This is exactly why I made this post — the math isn't hard but getting it backwards can have real consequences. Double-check: if you put 3mL into a 60mg vial, your concentration is 60÷3 = 20mg/mL. So drawing 25 units (0.25mL) gives you 0.25 × 20 = 5mg. NOT 2.5mg.

One thing I'd add to this guide: always verify your vial actually contains what it says it does. I've gotten "60mg" vials that Janoshik tested at 48mg. That throws off all your math. If your vial is underfilled, your actual concentration is lower than calculated, meaning you're UNDER-dosing. Which is less dangerous than over-dosing but still not ideal. > Adjusted formula: Volume = Actual peptide amount ÷ Desired concentration This is why third-party testing matters, folks.

Dumb question but what size syringe should I use? I have both 0.5mL and 1mL insulin syringes. For reconstitution I'm using a separate larger syringe (3mL) with a blunt tip needle to add the BAC water, right?
