The muscle cramps are almost certainly electrolytes. The GLP-1 subreddits are full of people complaining about cramps and the answer is almost always: you're not getting enough potassium, magnesium, and sodium because you're eating 60% less food.
My daily electrolyte protocol on sema:
- LMNT or similar electrolyte packet in morning water (1000mg sodium, 200mg potassium, 60mg magnesium)
- Lite Salt on all food (half sodium, half potassium)
- Magnesium glycinate 400mg at bedtime (also helps sleep)
- At least 80 oz water throughout the day
Since starting this, zero cramps. Zero headaches. Energy is significantly better. The difference was night and day.
