The mechanism and the magnitude are separate questions.

Same experience, arrived at from the opposite direction. I had assumed I was the exception until I read this.

Coming at james_edin’s question from a different direction. Take it one variable at a time. Almost every unanswerable question in these threads is unanswerable because three things changed in the same fortnight, and no amount of subsequent argument can untangle them after the fact.

Moderator note: the sourcing question belongs in the vendor section and has been split out. Report rather than reply if it drifts again.

A narrower follow-up, since the general answer is now clear:

What did you change at the same time, and can you separate the two now?

I read this differently from TomTeleRx, on substance rather than tone. This treats a plausible mechanism as a demonstrated one. Plausible is where you start looking, not where you stop.
