Important context: the telehealth landscape is shifting because of the FDA shortage resolution question. As of June 2026, the FDA has NOT officially ended the semaglutide shortage designation, but they've signaled it could happen by Q3 2026.
If/when the shortage ends, compounding pharmacies lose their 503A/503B exemption for semaglutide. That means:
- Found, Henry Meds, Ro — their compounded semaglutide products would have to be discontinued
- Calibrate — less affected since they primarily prescribe brand-name
- Push Health — unaffected since they just write the Rx and you fill wherever
If you're choosing a telehealth provider, consider what happens to your treatment if compounded semaglutide becomes unavailable. Does the provider have a plan B? Will they transition you to brand-name? At what cost?
