Adding the numbers, since they settle part of this. A quick sanity check on any figure quoted here: is it mean or median, is it intention-to-treat or completers, and what was the comparator. Three questions, and they resolve most disagreements in these threads.
Following on from newstart_MO — and this may be the naive question:
Whether fiber actually helps GLP-1 constipation or whether the evidence is borrowed from a different population?

There is a second half to this that has not been said yet. Relative and absolute effects need reading together. A 20% relative reduction on a high baseline risk is a large absolute benefit; the same relative figure on a low baseline risk is a small one, and press summaries almost always quote the relative number because it is bigger.
That is the short version; the long version is somebody else's post.

Water and magnesium first, soluble fiber second, and dropping the bran entirely. Resolved in about a week after two months of getting it backwards.

Acid reflux and constipation: I developed GERD symptoms around week 3 that I'd never had before. The delayed gastric emptying means food and acid sit in your stomach longer.
Management that works for me: elevate head of bed 6 inches, don't eat within 3 hours of lying down, avoid trigger foods (tomato, citrus, spicy, chocolate), and famotidine 20mg at bedtime. Much better now.
