My contribution β€” something sweet for when the cravings hit:

Protein Cookie Dough Bites (makes ~20)

  • 200g chickpeas (tinned, drained and dried)
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 40g dark chocolate chips
  • Pinch of salt, splash of vanilla
  • Blend chickpeas until smooth, mix everything, roll into balls, refrigerate
  • Per 2 bites: ~110 cal, 8g protein

They taste like actual cookie dough and you cannot tell there are chickpeas in them. My husband eats them and has no idea they're "healthy." 😏

Can I be real β€” I've tried meal prepping and I just can't. Between two kids, full time job, and the GLP-1 making me tired on weekends, standing in the kitchen for 2 hours on Sunday is not happening.

My "meal prep" is buying pre-made stuff that's high protein:

  • Costco rotisserie chicken β€” shred it, lasts 3-4 days
  • Pre-cooked hard boiled eggs (Costco again)
  • Greek yogurt cups
  • Pre-made protein boxes (Starbucks has decent ones)
  • Deli turkey slices

Is it more expensive? Yes. Do I actually eat it consistently? Also yes. And that matters more than a perfect meal prep I never do.

absolutely zero judgment. Consistency beats perfection. If buying pre-made means you hit your protein goals, that's a win. Not everyone has the time, energy, or honestly the interest in cooking. The Costco rotisserie chicken hack is legendary for a reason.

100% valid. And honestly even for those of us who do prep β€” some weeks I just... don't. And those are the weeks I rely on exactly what you described. No shame in the convenience game.

Thanks everyone for sharing! Saving all these recipes. Let's do this again next week? Weekly meal prep thread? πŸ‘€

Great thread! I'll set this up as a recurring weekly post β€” "Meal Prep Sunday" β€” starting next week. Tag your recipes with calorie and protein counts when you can, it helps everyone plan. πŸ‘
